My name is Kendall McLean, I am young canadian and I Founded Wellstand Vending Inc. Wellstand started as
a dream to make health-conscious foods more accessible in North America. My love for the earth fuels
this dream, and I wish to share that with those who come across Wellstand.

This whole dream started when I was eighteen traveling Europe racing downhill mountain bikes on the
UCI World Cup Series. When traveling through Germany I stopped at a gas station to fuel up my van, I
went upstairs of the gas station convenient store and came across a beautiful buffet with food sourced
from the local farmers of that area. I was blown away, and thought to myself, “why isn’t health food
easily accessible for North Americans?” I pondered this question, thinking “how can I make a change in
the way north Americans consume food and beverages?”. From there I knew I had to relate to the
consumers patterns they’re used to. Vending machines came into my mind. They are within most
buildings in North America, and the public is very familiar with how to use them. This would be the
perfect way I could use society's structure to create an alternative pathway to move forward with the
vision to create accessibility for the health-conscious food and beverage industry. A huge goal of mine is
to support local farmers, and our economy. This is why Wellstand will always try its best to create local
options for consumers to enjoy.

I wish to share my love for the earth, and respect for my body. Inspiring the public to grow their own
food, live on the land, and connect with their higher selves. None of us are perfect, but we all have to
start somewhere. I believe this change starts with food, as we need it to survive. From here we can start
to make changes within society to benefit the lives of all.
This is the story of why I am creating Wellstand, and I hope this inspires you to be a part of my vision
and goals to make this society a healthier reality.
